Condolence for the Hong Kong High-Rise Apartment Fire
We are deeply saddened by the reports from the Hong Kong authorities that 44 people have lost their lives and 279 individuals remain unaccounted for following the massive fire that broke out on November 26 at a high-rise apartment building in Tai Po District in northern Hong Kong.
On behalf of the Religions for Peace Japan, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the victims and their bereaved families. We also offer our sincere prayers for the swift rescue and safety of all those whose whereabouts are still unknown.
Religions for Peace Japan stands in deep solidarity with the people of Hong Kong who have been affected by this tragedy. Together, we are committed to supporting one another as we overcome this time of hardship.
In cooperation with our global interreligious network, we express our profound prayers and solidarity so that the affected communities may regain peace and comfort as soon as possible.
