The Education for Reconciliation Task Force of the World Conference of Religions for Peace (WCRP/RfP) Japan Committee held the 6th and final session of the 3rd Cohort of the Facilitator Training Seminar for Peace and Reconciliation on April 25–26 at Rissho Kosei-kai Ho-rin-Kaku, Room 6. Approximately 20 participants—including religious leaders, university and graduate students, NGO staff, and civil society practitioners—took part in the program.

On the first day, participants presented their individually developed “My Action Plans,” followed by feedback from members of the Education for Reconciliation Task Force. The 3rd Cohort of this seminar series ran from June 2024 to April 2026 and consisted of six sessions. Under the theme “I Take Action, Reconciliation Emerges,” this final session focused on integrating the learning accumulated throughout the program.

On the second day, participants further developed concrete strategies for implementing their action plans and discussed how they could apply their learning in their respective contexts as facilitators. The seminar concluded with a collective reflection on the entire program and a completion ceremony marking the completion of the 3rd Cohort.

One participant reflected:

“I learned about communication that fosters peace and dialogue—ways of engaging with others in daily life that allow both myself and others to be respected. I also realized the importance of noticing not only conflicts between myself and others, but also those within myself and between myself and nature. I hope to deepen these connections with greater compassion and care.”
